Ways to Escape the "Bad Weather" in Davos:

Davos Monstein Mining Museum

The mining museum is located in the historic administrative building of the former mining settlement Schmelzboden-Hoffnungsbau near the Davos Monstein train station. It contains a variety of exhibits such as mining equipment, models, documents, photos, and ores from various mining sites in the canton. A slide show provides insight into the history of the first industry in Graubünden, complemented by exhibitions on calcite and mountain crystals. Here, visitors can explore not only the fascinating world of mining but also understand the significance of this industry for the region.

Alpine Cheese Dairy at Clavadeleralp

Enjoy the magnificent view of the Alpine panorama from the Clavadeleralp Alpine Cheese Dairy, located at 2028 meters above sea level. You can reach the dairy either by the Jakobshorn cable car to Jschalp and a 45-minute walk, by postal bus to Clavadel and a one-hour hike, or on one of the numerous marked hiking trails from the valley. At the dairy, you can experience the traditional cheese-making process up close and taste the freshly produced cheese specialties on site. BierVision Monstein

Switzerland's highest brewery and the first brewery in the canton of Graubünden is located in Monstein. It is housed in the former village dairy, a building constructed 100 years ago. BierVision Monstein AG now brews Monstein beer specialties according to traditional recipes using crystal-clear Monstein spring water, Swiss hops, and spicy malt. Monstein is a picturesque village at 1625 meters above sea level with typical Walser houses and granaries, giving the place with two churches and two inns a distinctive charm. During a brewery tour, you will learn all about the art of brewing beer and can taste the delicious beers directly.

Wellness and Adventure Pool "eau-là-là" in Davos

Davos offers an oasis for water sports enthusiasts, connoisseurs, and health-conscious individuals with the wellness and adventure pool "eau-là-là". The ground floor of the pool houses the spacious water world, while the two upper floors are home to the dreamlike wellness world. From steam baths under the starry sky to solariums and an outdoor whirlpool, the pool offers a variety of relaxation options. Kirchner Museum

Ernst Ludwig Kirchner lived in Davos from 1918 until his death, and his extensive work shaped German Expressionism. The Kirchner Museum Davos was opened in 1992 and houses the world's largest collection of his works. The museum building, designed by the Zurich architects Annette Gigon and Mike Guyer, is well-known in the international architectural scene and is open year-round from Tuesday to Sunday. In addition to impressive paintings and sculptures, the museum also offers regular special exhibitions and events that immerse visitors in the world of art.

Winter Sports Museum Davos

The former post office building, now the Davos Landratssaal, is the ideal place to present the rich collection of valuable winter sports equipment and documents from the Jürg Kaufmann family foundation. Davos Local History Museum

The extensive collection of objects and documents is exhibited in the Großen Jenatschhaus, a historic patrician house.
